Our Pillars

Education, Family and Development.

Our work is organised under Turwubake Urubyiruko, Turwubake Urugo and Turwubake u Rwanda.

Turwubake Urubyiruko – Education

Education is a foundation for personal development, stronger families and national progress.

  • Payment of school fees for selected learners from vulnerable families.
  • School materials, uniforms and essential learning supplies.
  • Support for learners’ nutrition, wellbeing and basic needs where resources allow.
  • Home visits and regular dialogue with parents or guardians.
  • Awareness sessions for children who have left school and their parents.

Turwubake Urugo – Family

Strong communities are built from families that can communicate, resolve disagreements and protect the wellbeing of all their members.

  • Family dialogue and mediation for households experiencing conflict.
  • Awareness sessions on conflict prevention, positive communication and shared family responsibility.
  • Follow-up and support to strengthen family resilience after mediation.
  • Referral to appropriate public or professional services when specialised support is required.
  • Community conversations and educational materials based on research and publications on family wellbeing.

Turwubake u Rwanda – Development

Development is meaningful when it improves people’s real living conditions and gives vulnerable households a role in shaping their own progress.

  • Knowledge-based, material, financial or other appropriate assistance to vulnerable families.
  • Support for small household or community initiatives that improve basic living conditions and self-reliance.
  • Awareness and advocacy activities connecting education, stable families and community development.
  • Partnerships with public institutions, civil society, faith-based organizations, businesses and researchers.
  • Support that encourages beneficiaries to participate in planning and implementing solutions.
